We may collect various kinds of personal information about you as you interact with our website or operate one of our app(s) on an iOS or Android device. Personal information includes:
- Your email address when you sign-up for a newsletter or to receive an email alert when a specified condition is triggered on an environmental sensor (e.g., a wifi-connected thermostat with temperature and humidity sensors);
- Sensor data collected at your residence as well as the make and type of sensor device(s) and their geographic location;
- Alert preferences regarding skin hydration levels, humidifier operation, and UV radiation exposures;
- Responses to online surveys; and
- Login information including username and password.
2. Nonpersonal information
A data file call a “cookie” is sent to your web browser while interacting with the SkinSaver.care web site and is subsequently stored on your computer’s hard drive. The file does not contain personal information that is identifiable to you (i.e., non-personal data), just browsing history, and other limited data. For example, whenever you exit our site by clicking on the link to an affiliate merchant such as Amazon.com in order to purchase an item, the cookie tracking data is subsequently used to identify our site as the referral site.

Similar user analytics are used in the Skin Saver app. Connections on the SkinSaver.care website to other websites such as Facebook may also involve the collection of user information. In summary, cookies do not contain data that is identifiable to you, and provide a variety of benefits to both you and us. However, should you choose not allow cookies, please check with the privacy options available on your browser to halt or limit tracking cookies.
3. Sharing of Data
Temperature and humidity data collected from third-party sensors as well as those from Dermalapps, LLC, can be made anonymous by removing any related identifiers that link the data to you (e.g., street address, latitude and longitude, your name, etc.). Once the data is anonymous, then it is no longer considered to be personal information and can be shared with others. Anonymous data may be used to develop better skin-care algorithms, optimize advertisements, improve skin-care products, etc.
Our staff and contractor personnel can have access to personal information about you as part of their assignments regarding data storage, resolving user problems, etc. Individuals with access to personal data are not allowed to share it with unauthorized individuals.
4. Security and data storage
We employ various security measures to protect your privacy, including encryption of Internet transmissions and access control to servers where data are stored. Nevertheless, security threats continue to evolve and if there should ever be a data breach, then we will make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue and inform potentially impacted individuals.
Data associated with the SkinSaver.care website and app(s) are stored on servers located in the United States. By using the website/app(s) you implicitly consent to abide by applicable laws that govern the storage and privacy of personal information in this country.
Our site is not aimed at children under the age of 13 years, and we do not knowingly collect information on this age group.
